We are located in a small village called Dibden Purlieu which lies between the SW edge of the New Forest National Park and Southampton Water.
 
  • 2 miles from the village of Hythe with its good local shopping, marina and a 15 minute ferry link to Southampton (free bus service from the Town Quay ferry terminal to West Quay indoor shopping centre). The Hythe ferry pier boasts the oldest operating pier train in the world!!
  • 3 miles from Beaulieu home to the renowned Beaulieu Estate and the National Motor Museum (www.beaulieu.co.uk);
  • 3 miles from Exbury Gardens one of the most beautiful public gardens in the UK (see photo below)
  •  9 miles from Lymington a pretty port town with a 30 minute ferry crossing link to the Isle of Wight (www.iwight.com and www.wightlink.co.uk)
  • 9 miles from Southampton with good shopping (West Quay) and fast rail and coach links to London (70 miles - 1hour and 10 minutes)

  • We have at least 10 superb golf courses within 40 minutes driving time including Dibden (5 minutes; public pay and play); Southampton Municipal (20 minutes-public pay and play); Dunwood Manor (30 minutes. Private, but non-members welcomed;) Royal Winchester and South Winchester (both about 40 minutes. Private, but non-members welcomed)
  • Applemore Recreation Centre (indoor swimming pool) is 5 minutes away and Romsey Rapids (Swimming pool and water flumes) is 30 minutes distance
  • Lepe Beach Country Park and Calshott beach with its indoor activity centre are both about 6 miles away- 15 minutes driving time.
